Sport Specific Strength Training:
Strengthing your athletes to help prevent injury
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries are prevalent in youth and collegiate athletes.  The ACL is necessary for any cutting movements, landing from a jump and descending stairs.  An ACL rupture is one of the most common season ending injuries among female soccer, basketball and volleyball athletes.  If you should decrease your athlete's potential for injuring their ACL would you?

Our, therapists will perform a comprehensive examination looking at strength, balance, power and sport specific movement patterns.  Then we will design an individual program targeting problem areas that would place an athlete at risk for an ACL tear.

Do you ever wonder how you can increase your jumping ability? We offer classes to emphasize how high and how far you can jump. We will perform a comprehensive examination looking at your range of motion, strength, flexibility, and jumping ability. Then allow us to take you through a multiple-week class to improve your jumping abilities.

For athletes across the lifespan! Improve your ability to move quickly away from defenders, avoid tackles, and prevent injuries all at the same time. You will never be bored or sitting too long as we use a variety of agility training techniques to improve your quickness AND improve your cardiovascular output.

Offered: 1-2 sessions/week for 8 weeks

Running Clinic
We have designed a program meant to help members of the local running community learn about the importance of the correct running technique and how to prevent injuries caused by poor training methods and improper technique. Information is provided by Dr. Stephen Reischl P.T., D.P.T., O.C.S., a physical therapist since 1977 and Adjunct Associate Professor at USC. The use of the most up-to-date video analysis software is incorporated into the session.

Video Analysis
To gain a competitive advantage, athletes across the world are using high-speed video analysis techniques to improve their performance. Using our Dartfish video analysis software we are able to breakdown our clients' technique and offer our expertise to help increase speed, quickness, agility, strength and improve technique and overall performance.


Complete Overhead Athlete Specific Training

C.O.A.S.T at Reischl Physical Therapy is an injury prevention and strength and conditioning program specifically designed for the overhead athlete participating in baseball, volleyball, tennis, football, water polo, and any other sport involving throwing, serving, or hitting overhead. Overhead athletes engage in some of the most physically demanding activities of all sports and if specific steps are not taken to ensure that these athletes are set up for success the result can be poor performance, injury and surgery. At C.O.A.S.T. The emphasis is on identifying, through a physical exam and video analysis, areas for improvement in each individual athlete and addressing them with appropriate exercises under the supervision of program director Dr. Jason Preuschoff, PT, DPT, OCS. 

Evaluation includes:

  • Upper and Lower body range of motion assessment
  • Upper and Lower body strength and flexibility assessment
  • Core strength and endurance testing
  • Balance assessment
  • Biomechanical video analysis

Once you have received your C.O.A.S.T. evaluation, you are eligible to return for training. Exercises will be based on your complete presentation as identified in the evaluation and will focus on your specific areas of weakness.  These classes are a great way to progress your strength and prevent injuries both in and off season! Private, semi-private (2-4 person) and group (5-10 persons) sessions are available.

We are now offering a fitness program at Reischl Physical Therapy that addresses the effects of aging to improve quality of life and provide the necessary skills to maintain lifelong fitness!

Goals are to improve:

  • Weight bearing activity
Class Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

FIT 4 YOU Boot Camp


FIT 4 YOU Boot Camp is designed to accommodate clients of varying fitness levels at the same time. Our program is made to be affordable, modifiable for each client, safe, challenging and most of all, FUN!

Variety and Fun are the staples of our program. We provide routines that are always changing. A combination of new and traditional ways of doing strength and conditioning exercises, cardio, pilates, aerobics, agility, plyometrics, core training, interval training, circuit training and stretching are incorporated into each one hour session.

We are holding classes Monday & Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, Friday 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Call for pricing and descriptions of the different classes being held that month.
