We will remain open to treat patients as seen fit. We understand that many people are practicing self-quarantine or are unable to come into our clinic, therefore; we are offering Telehealth Services.
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth is an alternative service that allows clinicians to meet with patients and assess their needs via phone or computer. This could simply be done through a telephone call or through an audio and/or video HIPAA safe way to communicate on your smartphone, tablet or computer. We would set a time up with you and then send the link to you via email. If interested in more details, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. Telehealth is not as tricky as it seems. This allows for both parties to safely work towards a goal while reducing the risk of infection. More exercises can be prescribed to you through this method and written or video exercise instructions will be sent to you.
How much is Telehealth?
Most major health insurers cover Telehealth visits and they are treated similarly to a normal walk-in urgent care or doctor’s visit. The co-pays might apply within the guidelines of your insurance policy. Give us a call and we can tell you ahead of time.
All insurance companies are mandated in the state of California to offer physical therapy telehealth services as of 3/20/2020.
